Description
COB LED Strip 24 V in Yellow – 320 LEDs/m, Dot-Free Line
585 nm (±5 nm) · 8 W/m · continuous band of colour · IP20 · 5 m reel · no RGB controller needed
This strip shines in a fixed colour and needs no control electronics. Connect it to a 24 volt driver and you immediately have an even, coloured line of light. With 320 LEDs per metre and COB technology the band stays continuous, even when you look straight at it or run the strip close to a wall.
Key benefits at a glance
No light dots 320 LEDs per metre create a continuous line. | No RGB controller needed Just a 24 V driver – connect and light up. |
Pure shade Colour produced in the LED, not mixed from channels. | Cuttable every 5 cm Adapts to any length without wasting offcuts. |
Easy to install Strong adhesive tape on the back, no tools required. | Long service life 50,000 hours with LED chips by Sanan. |

What does COB mean – and why are there no dots?
The difference between COB and conventional SMD strips shows wherever the light source is visible. SMD strips carry individual LEDs at clear intervals; light emerges point by point and traces a pattern on wall or ceiling. With COB the chips are tiny and sit side by side without noticeable gaps. The result is a continuous line – with coloured light in particular, a visible gain in quality.
Single colour instead of RGB – when is it worth it?
A single-colour strip has a practical advantage over RGB: it is undemanding. It needs neither controller nor remote nor app – just a driver and, if wanted, a simple dimmer. That reduces not only cost but also the number of possible failure points. On top of that, a built-in shade looks purer than a colour mixed from three channels. If you are after a permanent colour mood, this is the better route.
Light colour yellow – 585 nm
Yellow light at 585 nanometres sits close to the amber range and feels warm and comfortable. It has one special quality: insects respond far less to yellow light than to white or blue, which is why this shade is valued where light should not attract them. Yellow is in particular demand in hotels and hospitality, where a warm tone should welcome guests – at reception desks and in lobbies, at bars and counters or as indirect lighting in the restaurant. The soft, inviting character of the light contributes noticeably to the atmosphere and makes rooms feel cosier than neutral white can. Yellow equally suits wellness areas and living spaces where calm and relaxation come first.
High-quality LED chips by Sanan
Fitted are LED chips by Sanan, one of the world's leading manufacturers. The listed company from Xiamen makes everything itself from wafer to finished chip and produces several hundred billion units per year. With single-colour strips this consistency pays off: the colour is generated by the semiconductor layer itself, and only a cleanly manufactured chip delivers the same shade over years. Together with a 50,000 hour service life this makes for a reliably consistent line of light.
Choosing the right driver
For operation you only need a 24 volt driver of the right size. At 8 watts per metre a complete 5 metre reel draws 40 watts; with around 20 percent headroom the driver should therefore supply at least 50 watts. An RGB controller is not required as the strip carries only one colour. If you want to dim, add a simple low-voltage dimmer in between. We stock suitable units in accessories.
Installation, cutting and routing
Installation uses the adhesive tape on the back, applied to a clean, smooth surface. At the printed markings the strip can be divided every 50 millimetres; the solder pads sit there. When routing: bending lengthwise yes, sharp creasing no – a bending diameter from 1 centimetre protects the conductor tracks. And connect no more than 5 metres per supply. The reason is voltage drop over distance: less voltage arrives at the end of an overly long run, so brightness noticeably falls off. Feed longer light lines in parallel sections.

Applications
Typical locations are bars, clubs, restaurants and hotels, exhibition stands and shop fittings, home cinemas and gaming areas as well as living rooms with indirect lighting. In display cases, along stair edges and behind furniture the strip also sets effective accents. As it is only 8 millimetres wide and 2.3 millimetres high, it disappears into narrow profiles and joints. Important: the IP20 rating permits use in dry indoor areas only.
