Description

COB LED Strip 24 V – 2700 K warm white, 8 W/m, CRI > 90

320 LEDs/m · dot-free line of light · 720 lm/m · IP20 · 5 m reel · Sanan LEDs

320 LEDs/m8 W/m720 lm/m2700 KCRI > 9024 VIP205 m

This COB LED strip delivers a continuous band of light instead of a string of dots. That is made possible by 320 very closely spaced LEDs per metre, covered together by a silicone layer. The difference is immediately obvious with indirect lighting: no stripes on the wall, no dot pattern, just a calm, even line.

Key benefits at a glance

No light dots
320 LEDs per metre create a continuous, even line.
Excellent colours
CRI > 90 renders wood, fabrics and food true to life.
Cuttable every 5 cm
Adapts to any length without wasting offcuts.
Safe 24 volts
Low-voltage technology for furniture, cases and reachable areas.
Easy to install
Strong adhesive tape on the back, no tools required.
Long service life
50,000 hours with LED chips by Sanan.

Features in detail

  • COB technology with 320 LEDs per metre for dot-free light
  • Colour rendering CRI > 90 Ra for natural colours
  • 170° beam angle for wide, soft light distribution
  • Cuttable every 50 mm at the marked points
  • Double-sided adhesive tape on the back, 15 cm lead at both ends
  • Only 8 mm wide and 2.3 mm high – fits narrow profiles and joints
  • Sanan LED chips for consistent colour temperature across the whole reel

What does COB mean – and why are there no dots?

COB means chip on board and describes how the LEDs sit on the circuit board. Instead of individually housed diodes spaced one to two centimetres apart, 320 very small chips per metre are applied directly and encapsulated together. For you that means no visible light points, no striping on the wall and a far more premium impression where the strip is visible.

CRI > 90: colours that are true

CRI > 90 means particularly true-to-life colour rendering. Simple LED strips with CRI 80 make reds in particular look pale; above 90 the colour spectrum stays complete. You notice it immediately when the strip shines on wood, textiles or food. For display cases, kitchen worktops, retail fittings and living spaces this is the tangible difference in quality.

Colour temperature 2700 K – warm white

2700 kelvin matches the light of a classic incandescent bulb – warm, soft and homely. This is the typical choice for living rooms, bedrooms, hotel rooms and hospitality. With indirect lighting it creates a comfortable base mood that invites you to linger.

High-quality LED chips by Sanan

Fitted are LED chips by Sanan, one of the world's leading manufacturers. The listed company from Xiamen produces several hundred billion LED chips per year and makes everything itself, from wafer to finished chip. With a COB strip carrying 1,600 LEDs across five metres this consistency is decisive: even small variations would show as a colour gradient in the band of light. With Sanan chips the colour temperature stays constant across the whole reel.

Choosing the right driver

You need a 24 volt driver for operation. The right size matters: the strip draws 8 watts per metre, so a complete 5 metre reel needs 40 watts. The driver should not have to supply more than about 80 percent of its rated output continuously – for one reel that means at least 50 watts. If you plan to extend later, factor in the headroom straight away. We stock the matching drivers in accessories.

Installation, cutting and routing

The strip is attached using the adhesive tape on its back. The surface should be smooth, clean and grease-free for the bond to last. You can shorten it every 50 millimetres at the printed markings, where the solder pads for connection sit. Do not crease sharply – a bending diameter of at least 1 cm protects the conductor tracks. Also run a maximum of 5 metres from one supply. There is a simple physical reason: the narrow conductor tracks have a low resistance, but it adds up over distance. At the end of an overly long run less voltage arrives, and the strip glows noticeably weaker there. So feed longer light lines in parallel sections – each reel gets its own supply from the driver, keeping brightness consistent throughout.

Applications

The strip is used wherever a clean line of light is wanted: under wall units, in display cases and shelves, behind furniture as indirect light, in ceiling coves, along stair edges and handrails as well as in shop fittings and counters. At 8 millimetres wide it fits most aluminium profiles. Please note the IP20 rating – the strip is suitable exclusively for dry indoor areas.
