This free-standing office luminaire combines direct and indirect light in one unit. The indirect light via the ceiling creates even base brightness in the room, the direct light provides sufficient illuminance on the desk. As the luminaire is simply placed, it suits rented premises, refurbishments and flexible workplace concepts particularly well. It also cuts a fine figure in design terms: the reduced, straight-lined form looks tidy and underlines a modern office ambience instead of pushing itself into the foreground.

Direct and indirect light: why the split?
Why direct and indirect at all? Purely direct light from above creates harsh shadows and easily reflects in the screen. Purely indirect light looks soft but often puts too little brightness on the desk. This luminaire therefore splits its output: 70 watts shine upwards to the ceiling, 30 watts directly downwards. The ceiling acts as a large reflector that scatters the light and creates base brightness in the room. The direct share ensures the necessary illuminance arrives on the working surface.
UGR < 13 – what it means for screen work
The UGR value describes how strongly a luminaire glares – the lower, the more comfortable. For screen workplaces, workplace regulations usually require a value below 19. This luminaire sits considerably lower at UGR below 13. That is achieved with micro-reflector optics that direct light downwards and limit sideways emission. Looking towards the luminaire while seated, you do not look into bright points of light.
Touch control with synchronous dimming
The luminaire is operated via touch buttons on the housing: a short tap switches direct or indirect light, holding dims steplessly. Dimming is synchronous – the direct and indirect shares change their brightness together, and the set ratio of 70 % upwards and 30 % downwards is maintained. The buttons also change the colour temperature, from warm to cool white.
Motion sensor and daylight sensor
Two sensors are built in. The motion sensor detects whether someone is present: if no movement is registered for 20 minutes, the luminaire dims to 30 percent; after a further 10 minutes it switches off. When someone returns, it comes on again immediately. The daylight sensor additionally measures incoming daylight and compensates: when the sun shines into the office it dims, when it clouds over it brightens again. Together these noticeably reduce consumption without anyone having to think about a switch.
Tunable white – colour temperature 2700–5000 K
Tunable white means the colour temperature can be adjusted – on this luminaire across 2700–5000 K. Warm light feels calm and is perceived as more pleasant in the evening, cooler light supports alertness and suits concentrated work in the morning. Instead of committing to one colour temperature at purchase, you simply change it during the day or according to the task.
HCL: light that follows the day
Behind HCL – human centric lighting – lies the idea of aligning light with the natural course of the day. Our bodies take their cue from light: in the morning cool, bright light signals activity, in the evening warm light prepares for rest. In automatic mode this luminaire changes its colour temperature by itself throughout the day, reproducing the course of the sun – from warm light in the early morning through neutral working light at midday back to warmer tones in the evening. A short press of the button activates the automatic mode.
Integrated digital clock
A digital clock is additionally integrated into the lamp head. It shows the time clearly and can be set using the control buttons: hold the auto button until the hour digits flash, set the value with the dimming buttons and repeat the process for the minutes. Holding for about three seconds saves the setting. In daily use this replaces the wall clock at the workplace – practical in rooms where you would otherwise have to glance at the screen or phone.
Service life and colour consistency
Service life is stated as L80(B10) at 50,000 hours. It reads awkwardly but simply means: after 50,000 operating hours at most 10 percent of the luminaires emit less than 80 percent of their original brightness. In typical office use of around 2,500 hours a year that corresponds to roughly 20 years. Lamp replacement is eliminated entirely.
Placed instead of installed
The big advantage of a floor luminaire lies in setup: there is nothing to install. The base measuring 480 × 300 millimetres stands securely beside the desk, the pole carries the lamp head at a height of 1,960 millimetres. You plug the luminaire into an ordinary socket and can move it elsewhere at any time. In rented premises, with changing team sizes or in offices with concrete ceilings this is often the only practical solution – and in every case the quickest.
Housing colour: silver, black or white
The luminaire is available in three housing colours: silver, black and white. Silver looks neutral and suits metal frames and classic office equipment, black sets a modern accent and emphasises the straight lines, white blends discreetly into bright rooms. Technically all three versions are identical – simply choose the colour that suits your interior.

Applications
The luminaire is used in private offices, open-plan offices, coworking spaces, meeting rooms and home offices. Wherever people work at screens and the existing ceiling lighting is insufficient or glares too much, it noticeably improves the situation – with no electrical work. It is also a sensible addition to existing lighting at individual, particularly demanding workplaces.
