Description
LED VU3 Linear Luminaire – Central Light + Two Tiltable Spots
1200 mm · black housing · CRI > 90 · switchable power
This linear luminaire for 3-phase track systems merges wide central lighting with two tiltable accent spots. The result is even base illumination that can be focused precisely on individual areas whenever needed – ideal for retail, office and workshop environments. For controllable lighting this linear luminaire is optionally available as a DALI-2 version. It can then be dimmed steplessly and integrated conveniently into modern light-management and building-control systems.

Central light + two tiltable spots
At its core is the mix of a 100° central module for flat illumination and two tiltable 30° × 90° spots. The 0° to 30° tilt directs light onto walls, displays or work surfaces – variable and adjustable at any time.
The tiltable spots are excellent for shelf lighting: they aim the light straight at shelves and aisles, provide evenly lit displays and keep products clearly visible even deep inside the aisles.
Perfect colour rendering for retail & boutiques
CRI > 90 delivers exceptionally brilliant, realistic colour rendering. Especially in shops, boutiques, galleries and deli areas where exact colours matter, textiles, products and displays look vivid and authentic – every detail becomes an eye-catcher and the merchandise shows at its best.
Long service life – L80 at 100,000 hours
100,000 hours at L80 means that only after this long operating period does luminous flux fall below 80 % of the initial value. Until then illumination stays almost constant – a clear benefit for operators focused on low maintenance and long service life.
High-quality LED chips by Sanan
For light generation we rely on high-quality Sanan LEDs. Sanan Optoelectronics is one of the world's largest LED chip makers and the market leader in China; the company invests continuously in R&D and holds over a thousand patents. Its chips deliver high efficacy, precise colour rendering and a long, low-maintenance service life – ideal conditions for professional continuous operation.
Mounting & track compatibility
Mounted via a track adapter on a 3-phase busbar, the luminaire can be positioned freely along the track and switched separately across the three phases. It fits the widespread track systems Stucchi, Global, Staff, Unipro, Eutrac, Ivela and the EU universal standard. Up to 16 luminaires may run per circuit (< 800 W). Connection is Safety Class I with protective earth.
Choose your colour temperature
- 3000 K warm white – suited to hospitality, boutiques, hotels and reception areas.
- 4000 K neutral white – the right choice for office, retail, boutiques, showrooms and workshops.
- 5000 K daylight white – ideal for technical work, assembly, labs and visually demanding areas.
- 6000 K cool white – proven in storage, production, work halls and high spaces.
This luminaire is available in four colour temperatures. Pick the variant that suits your application.
Why CRI > 90 delivers slightly fewer lumens
Why does the CRI > 90 version deliver slightly fewer lumens than the CRI > 80 one? A very high colour rendering requires a broader, more balanced LED spectrum – especially with a higher share of red. This additional red and deep-red content sits in a range to which the human eye is less sensitive, and the phosphor conversion needed for it introduces extra losses. As a result, at the same power the perceived luminous flux (lumens) and thus the efficacy in lm/W decrease. In return you get more true-to-life, more brilliant colours – at the cost of a marginally lower lumen figure.
Black housing: luminous flux & look
Why does the black-housing version deliver slightly fewer lumens? The reason lies in the reflection inside the luminaire: bright, white surfaces reflect the generated light very efficiently and direct almost all of it outward. Dark or black surfaces, by contrast, absorb part of the light that hits the internal surfaces – this portion does not leave the luminaire and is lost as heat. That is why the luminous flux, and therefore the efficacy in lm/W, is somewhat lower with a black housing than with a white one. In return, the black version appears less glaring and more discreet – a deliberately chosen advantage in boutiques, shops and premium settings where an understated, elegant look is desired.
