Description

COB LED Strip 24 V – 2700 K warm white, 10 W/m, CRI > 90

512 LEDs/m · dot-free line of light · 900 lm/m · IP20 · 5 m reel · Sanan LEDs

512 LEDs/m10 W/m900 lm/m2700 KCRI > 9024 VIP205 m

This COB LED strip delivers 900 lumens per metre from 512 densely placed diodes. That makes it considerably brighter than usual strips and suitable where light has to work: above the kitchen worktop, in display cases holding goods, or as the main light source in a ceiling cove. The line of light stays continuous and dot-free throughout.

Key benefits at a glance

No light dots
512 LEDs per metre create a continuous, even line.

Adapts to any length without wasting offcuts.
Safe 24 volts
Low-voltage technology for furniture, cases and reachable areas.
Easy to install
Strong adhesive tape on the back, no tools required.
Long service life
50,000 hours with LED chips by Sanan.

Features in detail

  • COB technology with 512 LEDs per metre for dot-free light
  • Colour rendering CRI > 90 Ra for natural colours
  • 170° beam angle for wide, soft light distribution
  • Cuttable every 50 mm at the marked points
  • Double-sided adhesive tape on the back, 15 cm lead at both ends
  • Only 8 mm wide and 2.3 mm high – fits narrow profiles and joints
  • Sanan LED chips for consistent colour temperature across the whole reel

What does COB mean – and why are there no dots?

The difference between COB and SMD shows most clearly wherever the light source is visible. SMD strips carry individual LEDs spaced one to two centimetres apart; light emerges point by point and traces a pattern on wall or ceiling. With COB the chips are tiny and sit side by side without noticeable gaps – here 512 of them per metre. The result is a continuous luminous surface instead of a chain of dots.

512 or 320 LEDs per metre – which version fits?

The 512 configuration pays off in two cases in particular. First, when the strip runs very close to a surface: the smaller the distance, the more likely fine brightness variations would show with a less dense arrangement. Second, when more light is needed – 900 instead of 720 lumens per metre make a tangible difference at the worktop or in a display case. For soft background lighting the more economical 320 LED version is sufficient.

CRI > 90: colours that are true

Many inexpensive LED strips work at CRI 80. That is fine for corridors and utility rooms but makes reds in particular look dull. At CRI > 90 the colour spectrum stays complete, so materials keep their true colour. For a strip lighting display cases, worktops or shop fittings this is not a detail but the decisive difference between light that looks cheap and light that looks premium.

Colour temperature 2700 K – warm white

2700 kelvin is the classic living-room light and matches the tone of a traditional incandescent bulb. It feels warm and inviting without tipping into yellow. This colour temperature suits living rooms and bedrooms, hotel rooms, hospitality and anywhere people should feel comfortable and linger.

High-quality LED chips by Sanan

The light quality of a COB strip depends directly on the consistency of its chips. Fitted here are LEDs by Sanan, one of the world's leading manufacturers. Founded in 2000 in Xiamen, the company makes everything itself from wafer to finished chip and produces several hundred billion units per year. What counts for you is the result: no visible colour jumps along the reel, a stable colour temperature even after years, and a service life of 50,000 hours.

Choosing the right driver

You need a 24 volt driver of the right size. At 10 watts per metre a complete 5 metre reel draws 50 watts. As a driver should not run at its limit permanently, allow around 20 percent headroom and choose at least 65 watts. If you install several reels the figures add up accordingly – two reels require a driver from about 125 watts. You will find suitable units in our accessories category.

Installation, cutting and routing

Installation uses the adhesive tape on the back, applied to a clean, smooth surface. At the printed markings the strip can be divided every 50 millimetres; the solder pads for connection sit there. When routing: bending lengthwise yes, sharp creasing no – a bending diameter from 1 centimetre protects the conductor tracks inside. And connect no more than 5 metres per supply. The reason lies in voltage drop: the fine copper tracks have a small resistance that adds up over distance, so less voltage arrives at the end of an overly long run and brightness falls off. Feed longer light lines in parallel sections.

Applications

Typical locations are kitchens under the wall units, display cases and retail furniture, alcoves and ceiling edges for indirect lighting, shelves, stairs and handrails as well as reception counters. Because the strip delivers considerably more light at 900 lumens per metre than weaker versions, it can also serve as a room's main lighting when run in a cove. Note the IP20 rating: for dry indoor areas only.
