Description
K8 LED Street Light 4000 K neutral white – 0–80 W · up to 180 lm/W · T3M · IP66 · IK08
The K8 LED street light with neutral white light (4000 K) delivers clear, high-contrast street lighting with excellent visual acuity – ideal for main and through roads, junctions, car parks and industrial areas. With up to 180 lm/W, street-optimised T3M optics and a power adjustable from 0–80 W via the driver, it ensures maximum efficiency. Rugged die-cast aluminium housing with IP66 and IK08.

Street Optics & Efficiency
The street-optimised T3M light distribution (asymmetric) directs light precisely onto carriageway and footpath, allows large pole spacing and keeps spill light low. Combined with the high efficacy and the rugged die-cast aluminium housing (IP66, IK08), the result is a durable, low-maintenance street light with a lifespan of L70B10 over 108,000 hours.
Your Benefits at a Glance
Top efficacy Up to 180 lm/W – maximum efficiency with neutral white light. |
Adjustable power 0–80 W via programming – tailored exactly to road and pole spacing. |
T3M street optics Asymmetric light control, large pole spacing, little spill light. |
Rugged & durable IP66, IK08, die-cast aluminium – L70B10 over 108,000 h. |
Smart control AstroDim & 1–10 V, programmable; midnight dimming & CLO possible. |
Surge protection Up to 10 / 20 kV SPD (optional) – safe even in thunderstorms. |
Control, Dimming & Programming
The luminaire is powered by a high-quality Sosen driver of the VH series (input 100–277 V, output 72–108 V) and offers far more than simple on/off operation. All functions can be tailored precisely to your project:
| AstroDim (default) – determines the length of the night from an astronomical profile and automatically dims during low-traffic hours – without any external control wiring. | |
| 1–10 V dimming – conventional brightness control; optionally also 0–10 V, PWM or resistor. | |
| Power 0–80 W – freely programmable – matched precisely to road, pole spacing and lighting level. | |
| Soft start (1–255 s) – ramps the light up gently, protects the grid from inrush current peaks and avoids glare. | |
| Constant Lumen Output (CLO) – compensates for the natural lumen depreciation of the LEDs over their lifetime – constant brightness for years. | |
| Self-adapt midnight timer – learns the midnight phase from the most recent nights and places the dimming step in the lowest-traffic period. | |
| Protection & maintenance – over-temperature protection (NTC/OTP) reduces power in case of heat; an end-of-life alarm (ELA) signals the due maintenance time via a blink code. |
The driver is programmed with the Sosen USB programmer (SS-PROG-LINK), which you can find here in the shop (sold separately) – either individually on a PC or in batch mode directly on site, so that entire streets can be configured quickly and energy-efficiently.

Installation & Wiring
The street light is fitted as a post-top variant onto a pole with Ø 60 mm and secured; connection to 100–277 V is made via the integrated Sosen driver. An optional photocell (Nema or Zhaga socket) is available for dusk-dependent switching. Installation and wiring only by a qualified electrician (protection class I, earthing required).
Applications
The neutral white street light (4000 K) is the first choice for main and through roads, junctions, car parks and industrial and logistics areas. The clear, high-contrast light improves visual acuity and road safety. With up to 180 lm/W, adjustable power (0–80 W) and street-optimised T3M optics you light large areas evenly and with little spill light. AstroDim, midnight dimming and constant lumen output lower running costs over the entire lifespan – efficient and future-proof for municipalities and businesses.
