This LED post top luminaire brings modern, low-glare light to parks, residential areas and courtyards. Colour temperature and power are set directly at the luminaire using small switches – no special tools or programming device required. One luminaire therefore fits many different situations. For controllable installations the luminaire is also available as a DALI version on request. It can then be dimmed steplessly, switched in groups and integrated into a central lighting control system.

Lamp head: flat lamp head

A linear, flat lamp head defines the appearance. This shape suits businesslike, modern surroundings in particular – on office buildings, company premises or newly designed squares. Light is directed downwards and illuminates the area evenly.

This version carries two lamp heads on a double arm. From a single pole you therefore light two directions – for example both sides of a carriageway or two adjacent paths. That saves poles, foundations and installation time.

Setting the colour temperature by switch

Three colour temperatures in one luminaire: 3000 K (warm white) for a cosy atmosphere in residential areas, 3500 K as a balanced middle ground and 4000 K (neutral white) for good visibility on paths and car parks. Switching is done at the luminaire. In addition we offer 1800 K on request – a warm amber tone that is particularly insect-friendly.

Setting the power by switch

Power is adjustable too: a second switch lets you choose between three wattage steps. That is practical because the same luminaire needs less light on a narrow footpath than on a car park. You buy one model and adapt it on site – reducing both energy consumption and stock keeping.

Type V light distribution – even light all around

Type V stands for an all-round light distribution. Unlike street lights that throw light in one specific direction, this luminaire emits its light evenly to all sides. This suits anywhere the luminaire stands free in an area and the surroundings need to be lit – from the park and the courtyard to the building forecourt.

As standard the luminaire is supplied exclusively with the Type V optic. For larger projects, however, other light distributions can be arranged: from a corresponding order quantity onwards we manufacture the luminaire with a directional optic on request, for example for narrow paths or areas that need to be lit from one side. Modular design: quick installation, easy maintenance

A well thought-out plug system connects lamp head and pole adapter. The head is placed, clicked in and screwed – with no electrical tooling required. This considerably shortens installation time and allows a later change to a different head shape. The driver is pluggable too and quickly replaced during maintenance.

Brand components: Lumileds LEDs and Sosen driver

For the components we rely on proven brand quality rather than unbranded parts. Light is generated by Lumileds 2835 LED chips – Lumileds is one of the most established LED manufacturers worldwide and stands for high efficacy, stable colour values and low degradation. The driver comes from Sosen, a manufacturer specialising in outdoor lighting. Both components are matched to each other and form the basis for this luminaire's reliable continuous operation.

Spare parts available – LED module and driver individually replaceable

An often overlooked point: spare parts for this luminaire are available individually. Both the LED module and the driver can be reordered separately and replaced by you – without replacing the complete luminaire. Both components are connected via plug connectors, so nothing has to be stripped or rewired. If a driver fails after years, the luminaire is back in operation within minutes instead of requiring a complete replacement. This considerably reduces follow-up costs and is the far more sustainable solution.

Long service life – L70, L80 and L90 explained

What do L70, L80 and L90 mean? The number states how much of the original brightness remains. The luminaire reaches L90 after 52,000 hours, L80 after 76,000 hours and L70 after 100,000 hours. For street lighting with around 4,000 operating hours a year, the L80 figure corresponds to roughly 19 years – keeping maintenance effort and replacement costs low.

Ruggedly built for outdoor use

The luminaire is made for continuous outdoor operation. The die-cast aluminium housing dissipates heat well and is powder coated, the cover is made of impact-resistant polycarbonate. With IP66 the luminaire is dust-tight and protected against water jets, with IK08 insensitive to impact. Operation is approved from −30 °C to +50 °C, and 10 kV protection absorbs surges.

Mounting on the pole

A standard lighting pole is all you need for installation: the supplied adapter fits 60 mm and 76 mm pole diameters. This makes the luminaire well suited to replacing old post top fittings without changing the poles themselves. Connection at 100–277 V, Safety Class I.
