Description
LED VU2 Linear Luminaire – Track Spotlight with Two Tiltable Wings
600 mm · black housing · CRI > 90 · 30° × 90° · 3-phase track
Two tiltable wings make the LED VU2 linear luminaire exceptionally adaptable. The standard 30° × 90° beam spreads light widely along the luminaire and keeps it narrow across – exactly right for aisles and shelf rows. The 0° to 30° tilt lets you decide where each wing points. For controllable installations the luminaire is also available as a DALI-2 version on request. In this version it can be dimmed steplessly and integrated into a central lighting control system.

Two tiltable wings: one luminaire, many lighting effects
The two movable wings are the heart of this luminaire. Each wing tilts individually from 0° to 30°. In the base position light falls straight down and lights the aisle evenly. Tilt the wings in opposite directions and you cover a shelf row on the left and right – without installing a second row of luminaires. That saves fixtures, installation time and energy.
Beam angles: which one suits your application?
Two optics are available for the VU2. Fitted as standard is 30° × 90°; on request we supply the narrow 30° × 30° version. The difference in practice:
- 30° × 90° (standard) – a beam that is wide lengthwise and narrow across. Light spreads far along the luminaire while staying focused across it. Ideal for aisles, shelf rows and long sales areas: plenty of light on the goods, little spill into neighbouring zones.
- 30° × 30° (optional) – a narrow beam focused in both directions – comparable to a spotlight. It brings light down in a concentrated cone and suits high ceilings from about 4–5 m as well as targeted accents on individual products, displays or exhibits.
- Tilt 0° to 30° – regardless of the beam angle, each of the two wings can be tilted. This shifts the beam sideways without moving the luminaire itself – onto a shelf front instead of the aisle floor, for example.
As a rule of thumb: the higher the ceiling and the more targeted the light should be, the narrower the angle. For normal room heights and continuous aisles the standard 30° × 90° optic is the right choice.
Not sure which beam angle suits your room? Simply get in touch – we are happy to advise you and will find the right optic for your ceiling height and application together with you. The lenses for the different beam angles can be selected at no extra charge after consultation with us.
CRI > 90: colours that are true
The colour rendering index describes how true colours look under a light source. At CRI > 90 the VU2 comes very close to daylight: fabrics show their real shade, wood and leather look warm rather than grey, food looks fresh. In boutiques, jewellers, bakeries and galleries this is often the difference between browsing and buying.
Long service life – L80 at 100,000 hours
L80 / 100,000 hours describes how the LEDs age. Only after this very long operating period does luminous flux drop below 80 % of the initial value – and even then the luminaire keeps working. For you that means no regular lamp changes, hardly any maintenance and a consistent lighting result over years.
High-quality LED chips by Sanan
It is worth looking at the LED manufacturer: Sanan Optoelectronics was founded in Xiamen in 2000, is stock-listed and is today the largest producer of LED chips in China as well as one of the top suppliers worldwide. Manufacturing at that scale means strict quality control and very low variation. The VU2 benefits directly: plenty of light per watt, precisely maintained colour temperature and a light output that stays stable over the years.
Mounting & track compatibility
All you need for installation is an existing 3-phase busbar: the VU2 is inserted, turned and sits securely. That makes later changes easy – new shelving or a new layout requires no electrical rework, just repositioning the luminaires. Phase selection L1/L2/L3 separates lighting circuits. Compatible with Stucchi, Global, Staff, Unipro, Eutrac, Ivela and the EU universal standard, Safety Class I.
Choose your colour temperature
- 3000 K warm white – proven in hospitality, hotels, boutiques and reception areas.
- 4000 K neutral white – the all-rounder for sales rooms, boutiques, offices and exhibitions.
- 5000 K daylight white – ideal for assembly, technical work, labs and inspection stations.
- 6000 K cool white – proven in warehouses, production and high spaces.
This luminaire is available in four colour temperatures. Select the variant that suits your room when ordering.
Why CRI > 90 delivers slightly fewer lumens
The fact that the CRI 90 version is a little dimmer is directly linked to its strength. To render colours true to life, the LED needs a fuller spectrum with more red. That red content counts for less in the lumen measurement because the eye responds less there, and phosphor conversion adds losses. The bottom line: a few lumens fewer, but colours that look in the shop as they do in sunlight.
Black housing: luminous flux & look
The difference in luminous flux between a black and a white housing is not a quality issue but simply physics. Inside the luminaire light is redirected several times before it exits. White surfaces reflect almost completely, black ones absorb a share and convert it into heat. The result: slightly fewer lumens and marginally lower efficacy. If an unobtrusive, elegant appearance matters more to you than the last lumen, black is the right choice.
Power steps & luminous flux
| Power step | Power | Luminous flux |
|---|---|---|
| Step 1 (maximum) | 48 W | 6,480 lm |
| Step 2 | 40 W | 5,400 lm |
| Step 3 | 34 W | 4,590 lm |
| Step 4 (minimum) | 27 W | 3,645 lm |
Power is selected directly at the luminaire via switch. This way you match brightness to the room without additional devices and save energy permanently.

Applications
The VU2 is at home wherever a track system is in place and surfaces need even brightness. In retail it lights long aisles and shelf rows; thanks to the oppositely tiltable wings, one row of luminaires is often enough for two shelf fronts. In supermarkets and specialist stores it provides calm base lighting, in boutiques and showrooms accentuated product presentation. Offices, meeting rooms, galleries, workshops and exhibition halls also benefit from the flexible light control.
