Description
LED VU2 Linear Luminaire – Track Spotlight with Two Tiltable Wings
900 mm · black housing · CRI > 90 · 30° × 90° · 3-phase track
Two tiltable wings make the LED VU2 linear luminaire exceptionally adaptable. The standard 30° × 90° beam spreads light widely along the luminaire and keeps it narrow across – exactly right for aisles and shelf rows. The 0° to 30° tilt lets you decide where each wing points. For controllable installations the luminaire is also available as a DALI-2 version on request. In this version it can be dimmed steplessly and integrated into a central lighting control system.

Two tiltable wings: one luminaire, many lighting effects
Two wings, many options: because both light rows of the VU2 tilt independently up to 30°, you change the light distribution in seconds. Straight down for even base light, spread outwards for two shelf sides at once, or both swivelled together for one strongly accented surface. If your store layout changes, simply re-aim them.
Beam angles: which one suits your application?
How far the light spreads depends on the lens fitted. The VU2 standard is 30° × 90°, with a much narrower version available as an option. The overview below explains which optic suits which purpose:
- 30° × 90° (standard) – a beam that is wide lengthwise and narrow across. Light spreads far along the luminaire while staying focused across it. Ideal for aisles, shelf rows and long sales areas: plenty of light on the goods, little spill into neighbouring zones.
- 30° × 30° (optional) – a narrow beam focused in both directions – comparable to a spotlight. It brings light down in a concentrated cone and suits high ceilings from about 4–5 m as well as targeted accents on individual products, displays or exhibits.
- Tilt 0° to 30° – regardless of the beam angle, each of the two wings can be tilted. This shifts the beam sideways without moving the luminaire itself – onto a shelf front instead of the aisle floor, for example.
As a rule of thumb: the higher the ceiling and the more targeted the light should be, the narrower the angle. For normal room heights and continuous aisles the standard 30° × 90° optic is the right choice.
Not sure which beam angle suits your room? Simply get in touch – we are happy to advise you and will find the right optic for your ceiling height and application together with you. The lenses for the different beam angles can be selected at no extra charge after consultation with us.
CRI > 90: colours that are true
When colour fidelity counts, CRI > 90 is the right choice. Simple LEDs make reds in particular look washed out; this version renders them strong and natural. Clothing looks the same in the shop as it later does at home in daylight – a point that prevents returns and eases the buying decision.
Long service life – L80 at 100,000 hours
L80 / 100,000 hours describes how the LEDs age. Only after this very long operating period does luminous flux drop below 80 % of the initial value – and even then the luminaire keeps working. For you that means no regular lamp changes, hardly any maintenance and a consistent lighting result over years.
High-quality LED chips by Sanan
For the LEDs we deliberately avoid unbranded parts. Fitted are chips by Sanan Optoelectronics, the LED chip market leader in China and one of the world's leading manufacturers. The listed company from Xiamen makes everything itself, from wafer to finished chip, invests continuously in research and holds over a thousand patents; its customers include well-known international brands. This integrated production is the reason for consistent quality – and therefore for this luminaire's high efficiency and long service life.
Mounting & track compatibility
All you need for installation is an existing 3-phase busbar: the VU2 is inserted, turned and sits securely. That makes later changes easy – new shelving or a new layout requires no electrical rework, just repositioning the luminaires. Phase selection L1/L2/L3 separates lighting circuits. Compatible with Stucchi, Global, Staff, Unipro, Eutrac, Ivela and the EU universal standard, Safety Class I.
Choose your colour temperature
- 3000 K warm white – proven in hospitality, hotels, boutiques and reception areas.
- 4000 K neutral white – the all-rounder for sales rooms, boutiques, offices and exhibitions.
- 5000 K daylight white – ideal for assembly, technical work, labs and inspection stations.
- 6000 K cool white – proven in warehouses, production and high spaces.
This luminaire is available in four colour temperatures. Select the variant that suits your room when ordering.
Why CRI > 90 delivers slightly fewer lumens
A look at the figures shows that the CRI 90 version is rated at fewer lumens than the CRI 80 one. There is a physical reason. Better colour rendering requires a broader spectrum containing more red. Our eyes, however, perceive red light more weakly than green or yellow, and the additional phosphor conversion costs energy. At the same wattage fewer lumens therefore come out – in return you get noticeably truer colours.
Black housing: luminous flux & look
Comparing the versions you will notice that the black one is rated at fewer lumens than the white. The reason lies inside the luminaire. Before the LED light exits, part of it hits housing and optic surfaces. Bright surfaces reflect this light almost completely back outwards, dark ones absorb a share and release it as heat. That is why luminous flux and efficacy (lm/W) are somewhat lower in black. In return you get a discreet look that barely stands out against dark ceilings and a softer, less glaring impression.
Power steps & luminous flux
| Power step | Power | Luminous flux |
|---|---|---|
| Step 1 (maximum) | 55 W | 7,425 lm |
| Step 2 | 47 W | 6,345 lm |
| Step 3 | 39 W | 5,265 lm |
| Step 4 (minimum) | 30 W | 4,050 lm |
Power is selected directly at the luminaire via switch. This way you match brightness to the room without additional devices and save energy permanently.

Applications
Typical locations are shops, supermarkets, specialist stores, boutiques, showrooms, galleries, offices, workshops and exhibition areas. Because the two wings tilt independently, the luminaire adapts to different tasks: straight down for even aisles, spread outwards for shelf fronts left and right, swivelled together for an accented wall. If you change your layout, simply re-aim the light.
